# Reset your password

Forgot the password to your Kingshot Bot account (the one used on kingshot-bot.com and in the client)? The reset process takes just a few minutes.

## Request a reset

1. Go to the login page at [kingshot-bot.com/login](https://kingshot-bot.com/login?ref=help.kingshot-bot.com).
2. Click **Forgot Password**.
3. Enter the email address associated with your account.
4. Submit the form.

For security reasons, the message shown is always the same whether or not the address exists in our database: "If an account exists with this address, a reset link has just been sent to you." This prevents anyone from guessing which addresses are registered.

## Receive and use the link

1. Check your inbox (and the spam folder if needed).
2. Click the reset link you received by email.
3. Choose a new password.
4. Confirm: you can then log back in with this new password, both on the website and in the bot client.

The reset link has a limited validity period. If it has expired, simply request a new one from the **Forgot Password** page.

## Password still not working?

- Check that Caps Lock isn't accidentally on.
- Make sure you're using exactly the email address of your Kingshot Bot account (not your Google/Facebook game account).
- If you signed up via social login, use the same method to log in rather than a password.
- Restart the bot client after changing your password so the new login is taken into account.

## This password only applies to your Kingshot Bot account

The password you're resetting here is for your **Kingshot Bot account** (dashboard + client login). It's completely independent from the password of your Google or Facebook game account, which remains managed directly by Google or Meta.

If the problem persists after following these steps, contact support on Discord — they can check the status of your account.
